Bryanston TV to bring sport, performance and school life closer to families

Bryanston School has partnered with SOCS TV, powered by Joymo, to launch Bryanston TV, a secure, school-branded streaming and video platform for live and on-demand coverage of sport, performing arts, events and wider school life.

Bryanston TV will give pupils, parents, families, Old Bryanstonians and the wider school community a dedicated digital home for key moments across the School, helping them feel closer to life at Bryanston wherever they are in the world.

The platform will enable Bryanston to securely capture, manage and share a wide range of content, from sports fixtures and concerts to performances, talks, ceremonies, pupil showcases and community events, while keeping safeguarding, consent, school control and data protection at the centre.

Bryanston is one of the UK’s leading co-educational boarding and day schools, educating pupils aged 3-18 from its 450 acre campus in Dorset. The school is known for the Bryanston Method, its distinctive approach to education, which encourages pupils to think independently, take ownership of their learning and develop creativity, confidence and individuality.

That same spirit is reflected across Bryanston’s co-curricular life. The school offers around 100 extra-curricular activities each term, spanning sport, arts, music, academic societies, outdoor education and charity programmes. Sport and co-curricular activities are integral to daily life at Bryanston.

Bryanston TV will help bring more of this activity together in one place, allowing the school to celebrate the full breadth of pupil achievement while improving the experience for parents and families.

Hannah Attride, Bryanston’s Chief Commercial Officer, said:

“Bryanston is a community full of energy, creativity and achievement, and we are delighted to be launching Bryanston TV as a way of sharing more of those moments with parents, families and Old Bryanstonians. As we head into our centenary year, we are excited to be able to share these key moments with our community.

From sport and performance to talks, events and pupil-led projects, Bryanston TV will allow our community to feel closer to school life, wherever they are, while ensuring that content is shared in a secure and appropriate way.”

Built for school life: control, safeguarding and quality

SOCS TV, powered by Joymo, is designed specifically for schools. It enables institutions to livestream and publish on-demand content on a dedicated, school-branded platform, while retaining control over access, permissions, content ownership and data.

Key platform benefits include:

  • Secure access and safeguarding-first streaming

  • School control over content, permissions and retention

  • Live and on-demand publishing on a dedicated, branded platform

  • Consent-aware workflows and governance tools

  • Data protection by design

Marius Larsen, COO/CFO of Joymo, said:

“Bryanston is exactly the kind of school SOCS TV was built for: ambitious, creative, deeply co-curricular and committed to giving pupils opportunities across sport, performance, leadership and wider school life.

With Bryanston TV, the School will have a secure, school-controlled digital home for live and on-demand content — helping parents, families and Old Bryanstonians stay connected to the moments that matter, without compromising safeguarding, consent or data control.

We are proud to support Bryanston with a platform built for education: ownership, governance and quality by design.”

James Kershaw Naylor, Director, Commercial & Product, SOCS, said:

“SOCS TV is a natural extension of how schools already use SOCS to manage and communicate co-curricular life. Schools need tools that fit into the rhythm of busy school environments, support staff rather than add complexity, and give parents a simple, trusted way to stay connected.

Bryanston TV will give the School a school-owned platform for sharing sport, performance and wider school events with its community, while ensuring that access, safeguarding and control remain where they should be: with the School.”
