Joymo has secured a wide-ranging partnership with World Archery encompassing the development of its archery+ online streaming platform, and the digital broadcast of its marquee events, on a multi-year basis.
Under the terms of the alliance, World Archery, the international federation for the sport of archery, has appointed Joymo as the exclusive provider of its owned and operated over-the-top (OTT) streaming services.
The relationship has seen Joymo develop and build a brand new archery.tv product, which will continue to be powered by Joymo, and broadcast the sport’s biggest events to subscribing audiences worldwide.
World Archery will exclusively stream marquee events like the Hyundai Archery World Cup, the Hyundai World Archery Championships and major regional tournaments on the platform, making it the single destination for archery fans to enjoy the sport.
archery+ will also host features, documentaries, educational resources and other exclusive content developed by World Archery, including qualification events for Paris 2024 and exclusive #ArcheryinParis content during the summer.
Commenting on the agreement, World Archery secretary general, Tom Dielen, said: “We’re partnering with Joymo to create a video hub for archery’s large catalogue of event and feature content, which will now be available in one location to every fan worldwide. Not only will this partnership make the sport easier to access but also allow us to invest additional resources into live production, engaging series and exciting new formats.”
Hannah Griffiths, VP of Content Acquisition & Partnerships at Joymo, said: “We are delighted that our technical expertise and experience in developing bespoke digital streaming solutions has been recognised by World Archery. This is exactly the type of full-cycle relationship that Joymo thrives on; creating and managing the product but also acquiring top-tier rights so that we are best positioned to support our partners in the long-term growth of their platforms.”
The full suite of archery+ live and exclusive content will be available to access with an annual subscription at a cost of €49.99. Pay-per-view event passes will also be available. Please visit archery.tv for more information.
