IABA U18 and U22: Packs a punch
Stories from our community

The Irish Athletic Boxing Association’s (IABA) main role is to develop, foster and control amateur boxing in the 32 counties of Ireland. The IABA is committed to provide the environment, in which athletes and coaches alike, can excel.

The IABA operates from the National Stadium in Dublin, and there are currently over 360 clubs affiliated to the association across Ireland. It is a volunteer-led organisation where the hard work, dedication and significant time afforded by each member has contributed to the growing success of boxing in Ireland.

One such success, that was streamed on Joymo, was the U/18 and U/22 National Championships. This event spanned three weekends, with 270 boxers participating.

IABA made the most of the Joymo user experience by streaming via both the Joymo Share App and Joymo Connect. The events saw audiences from the UK, US, Australia, Spain, Norway and France tuning in to watch the bouts.

Torill Lunde, Partnerships Manager at Joymo said, “we are happy to see how well these events did, in terms of unique viewers and reach beyond Ireland, and we are looking forward to having more IABA events on the platform”.
