The competition is the National Olympic Weightlifting Championships for athletes aged up to 23 years old and saw the next wave of competitive weightlifters burst onto the national scene. The event featured 5 national championships (U10, U12, U15, U20, U23).
Chief Operating Officer at British Weight lifting Kath Leonard said: "It was great to be supported by Joymo, livestreaming the action in real time to all the athletes’ friends and families. The option of livestream at our events enables them to be accessible to all British Weight Lifting supporters, making sure no one misses out on the action!"
Weightlifting is proving to be a firm favourite on the Joymo platform as tickets sold were up to par.
Joymo Customer Success Manager Bjørnar Hansen said: "Weightlifting is a popular sport on the Joymo platform, attracting a big and enthusiastic audience.
The British Age Group Championships was no exception with viewership across the UK. The event was captured with iPhones on tripods and the Joymo Share app. Viewers got to follow the action on two different platforms during two full days of lifting. The online tickets were structured as daypasses and a tournament pass. This allowed fans and family to buy access to the most relevant content or enjoy all the action over the weekend and secured extra income from the event for British Weight Lifting as well."
