This past June saw many student teams taking part in the annual Birmingham City University and Aston University Varsity clash.
With the pandemic putting a halt to many sporting activities, this derby was a welcomed event in what has been a challenging time.
The comradery, support, milestones accomplished and lessons learnt while playing sport are undeniable, and this time students were able to capture their moments with the Joymo Share App.
Michael Kay, Student Engagement Coordinator at Aston Students Union said: "Joymo provides long lasting memories for our players and teams and enables us to take sport to a wider audience who wouldn't usually get to see the action."
With 11 games played, ranging from basketball to field hockey and table tennis, the teams were able to grow their support base using the Joymo Share App. “Joymo is a great way to build our profile and extend our reach... we could still provide a student "fan experience" despite Covid restrictions”.
Mark Jeffreys, Director of Sport at Birmingham City University added "Joymo is easy to use and gave us a great way to share our Varsity sporting action with parents, friends and the wider University Community-it really enhanced the player experience, they loved seeing their "glory" moments and we are looking forward to using Joymo throughout the season for a range of sports teams."
Whether its individual athletes wanting to track their progress, scouts on the lookout to sign new talent, coaches/ clubs/ federations wanting to keep a database of games; or family members who never want to miss a moment of their loved ones sports event - Joymo is the answer.
This varsity event was the first event streamed in the Higher Education sector in the UK, but Joymo is available to all universities and colleges and their sports teams, worldwide.
Joymo have also recently entered into another exciting partnership in the University sport sector, with the European Network of Sports Services (ENAS).
Under the terms of the agreement, Joymo becomes the exclusive live streaming partner for ENAS. This partnership provides the member universities with the opportunity to stream their sport events, thus engaging fans and family members who can’t watch in person and also helping the university clubs to gain more revenue.
“We strongly recommend that all clubs give the Joymo Share App a go,” says Strategic Partnerships Manager at Joymo, Neil Mosley.
Test it out first, share your action with friends, family, and fans; build a legacy and generate income for your club.
